i'm only here because i feel the day deserves a truly sordid end
benji could already feel the smile on his face fade as she hesitated. she’d barely got out his rejection when jayde tripped over her. everyone reacted. benji reached out just as jon did to try and grab jayde before she fell. but they were too late and she it had already pissed mira off. “fuck…” benji said, under his breath. then mira’s fist connected to jayde’s face. he let his skateboard fall as he reached out to stop the fight. “hey, hey!” he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around mira to pull her away from fighting. he went one way with mira while adonis went the other with jayde. “control that broad, man!” he yelled towards the firefly metronome associates. benji made sure mira was on her feet properly before putting a hand up and gentle rubbing under her eye. he shook his head, his face tinged with anger. “that’s gonna swell up, mira. she gave you a fuckin’ –“ he shook his head again and glanced back at the enemy. benji hated seeing any kind of pain or sign of past pain on mira, so obviously this black eye wouldn’t sit well with him. “you want me to get you some ice for you?” he asked, his voice full of concern.
-- - -- - -- - -- - -- before he knew it, what started with jayde tripping over mira because of her own clumsiness – turned into a full on fight between the girls. mira punched jayde in the face and jayde had punched mira right back. “holy fuck.” adonis threw away the bud in his hand and immediately jumped up and started pulling the girls away, grabbing jayde first. “what the fuck is your problem?!” he asked, pushing her away after getting the girls off each other. he glanced around to make sure his mira was okay then turned to jayde. “what the fuck?! you trip over her with your clumsy ass and then try to fight her over it? learn to use that bloody brain of yours!” he yelled. okay, so it wasn’t exactly the nicest or most adonis rhodes type thing to say but who the hell did jayde think she was? he was high, drunk, and happy and she came along to ruin the show. he turned around and went back to mira. “let’s leave this shit company, yeah?” he said while he checked her out to make sure she wasn’t bleeding or hurt. just before he’d grabbed mira’s hand to walk away – he glanced over just to see crimson in the company of some guy. as if his party wasn’t already ruined enough. he clenched his jaw shut in anger then turned away.

"Fancy seeing you here, huh?" Crimson turned at the sound of a familiar voice, her face lighting as she caught sight of Oliver's face in the darkness. He had come up without her notice.
She hooked an arm around the boy, keeping the other hand at arm's length away from them so as to keep the now lit cigarette away from hair and clothing. Her face falling to the crook of his neck in the hug, her lips parting over a toothy smile. It was a strange and lovely thing to hold and be held again in such a way, where she'd been questioning her qualities as a woman for so very long now. Oliver was a sweet-heart, with a sweet face and lovely, curly hair. She pulled away from the hug, standing on the tips of her toes to kiss him chastely on the curve of his cheek.
"I'd hoped you'd show up, Ollie."
As matters quickly, escalated, Jon put his body between Mira's and Jayde's, now that Benji had pulled the struggling guitarist back. "Easy, guys. It's a party." Adonis lept into the fray, but Jon felt a pit grow in his stomach. The man was drunk and had not been himself.
“What the fuck is your problem?!" The manager grabbed Jayde under Jon's arm, shoving her soundly. Jon put a hand to Adonis's chest, not pushing, but holding him back.
"Hey now. Don't make this worse." He never stood for violent hands on a woman's body, regardless of her actions.
There was a violent shove as a body crashed into his; Jon swore, feeling his banjo roughly jostled and heard the strings give helpless twangs. He was trying to keep his eye on the four parties currently involved; Jayde, Adonis, Benji and Mira, so it took another second before he was able to see David. He'd been diving for Adonis, it was soon clear, with Jon and his poor banjo merely a casualty. Dave shoved past Jon. Adonis was already walking to Mira, but Dave planted both hands in the small of the Irish-man's back and shoved him. "How about you keep your fucking hands off of her and let them settle their own fucking fight, you stupid mick?" [/blockquote]

Somehow her punch had managed to miss Jayde’s face but Jayde’s hit hers? Mira wasn’t sure how that happened but knew that it’d happen only once. Not that Jayde wasn’t a tough little thing-- but not even Mira’s own cousin Abner was safe from her explosive display of anger. Since Mira had a hold of Jayde’s shirt, there was no real room for Jayde to curl back and Mira took full advantage of that, throwing her fist at the girls face again and then using her long legs to begin the process of rolling over. Jayde taking the time to actually drink was a dream come true for Mira. I mean, she was out to hurt Jayde and the girl was taking a booze break? Moron. Luckily Mira didn’t want to deal with a lawsuit or she would have shoved that bottle directly in the girls face as she was drinking from it. Instead she waited until the bottle was mere inches from her foes mouth before swinging her fist into that stupid looking snarl. Letting go of Jayde’s shirt, Mira grabbed on her neck. Now, with her legs and the rest of her body working together Mira could flip them over and get the upper hand…
…except Jon decided to intervene, fucking Banjo on his back and all. “NO,” she yelled, knowing that, that bitch Jayde would use that moment to her advantage and throw cheap shots at Mira while people were breaking them together. Silently Mira vowed to find the twat when she was alone if she decided to play dirty and attack while Mira was rendered immobile. After her legs were untangled from Jayde’s, Mira thrust her foot out to the body of the girl. Wasted or not, she was careful. They were friends and, in the way or not, you just didn’t hurt friends. “Jon,” there was a warning tone to the way she said his name and hopefully he picked up on that.
Mira didn’t have to guess it, she knew it was Benji when her body was lifted and moved away from the chaos-- and she knew better than to argue it. “Benji,” she said softly when he started to fuss with her and although he did have her attention, her eyes were still angrily glued on Jayde. As Adonis neared her, Mira gave a quick glance to Benji, but she couldn‘t look long because the concern in his voice and eyes broke her heart. How was she supposed to get over him when he did stuff like that? “C’mon, stop… I'm... I'm fine.” She moved away from him and closer to Doni, lacing her fingers with the Irishman as he took her hand. For some reason she got the urge to apologize to Benji or something-- for what? She didn’t know.
But before she could tear her eyes away from those of her former best friend-- her companion, Doni, had been thrust forward, accompanied by some jarble in David’s voice. The livid flare lit up in Mira’s eyes immediately and she let Doni go so there was nothing stopping him from giving David what he deserved. She didn’t care what people said and she didn‘t care how Jayde was going to react, David was not going to fucking hurt Doni. Leaping forward she scooped up the skateboard Benji had discarded to drag her from the fight and who was going to catch the brunt force of her new weapon was obvious.

Jayde was ready to rip the life out of the bitch when she was tugged backwards by Adonis and scolded like a child. Jayde's eyes shot daggers into him. "What the fuck?! You take her goddamn side?! Yeah I fucking tripped, BIG GODDAMN DEAL, I could've just appologized and walked on BUT NO, that SKANK tried to fucking hit me! You think I was just gonna let her hit me?! FUCK YOU ADONIS!" Jayde could hear Dave's voice in the background mouthing off about letting the girls duke it out for themselves.
Jayde shoved Adonis's arms off of her and glared. "I fucking quit. Get a goddamn new singer, see how well you do without a fucking band.Firefly Metronome is ME. You're a manager. If you're so goddamn perfect go join a fucking band and show your talent!" She felt her cheek start to welp up, when the hell had Mira even decked her? Now her face was starting to hurt and the flesh around her ear was pulsing. Fucking bitch. Jayde turned and looked seeing Dave and their eyes made contact for a moment. Jayde spat and shook her head. No friends on this goddamn tour to back her up.. That was just fucking perfect. Assholes, no fucking clue.
Jayde kicked her heels off and picked them up walking over to the parking lot. She ignored the people's voices from behind her and headed towards the cars. "Mira is going to fucking pay." She muttered under her breath.

i'm only here because i feel the day deserves a truly sordid end
thankfully, mira didn’t fight him pulling her away. that… would have erupted in a verbal fight between the two of them because benji would not have it. “you’re not fine, look at -- your eye, mira…” and she had already moved from him, and to doni. he started chewing on his lip, a pained expression crossing his face for a moment. he’d have to shake it off, he knew it. but he was so used to caring for mira that it was hard to break habit. he stood there, waiting to watch mira go off with doni when david pushed adonis. benji expected a few harsh words to be exchanged but when adonis full on punched then headbutted david – he couldn’t help but let out a pained ‘ooohhh’ for david. headbutts fucking hurt. with his eyes on the fight that had broken out, he didn’t notice mira pick up his skateboard to attack at first and when he finally did – he’d barely caught her after she’d already jumped into action. he grabbed her, basically out of midair and pulled her back to him. with one of his long arms wrapped tight and securely around her, he grabbed his skateboard with the other and shook his head. “mira! il mio amore... I know you want to kill him and all but my board is not the right weapon.” he wanted to whisper in her ear that his pistol would be the more perfect thing to use but he knew – joking or not ( he wouldn't be joking ) – mira would go find his pistol and fuck david up. and the last thing he wanted was for her to go to prison for life… for murdering somebody like david. he certainly wasn’t worth it.
-- - -- - -- - -- - -- “fuck off, jayde! this band’ll be ten times better without you anyway.” doni shook his head as she walked away. “firely metronome is me.” he mimicked, befored scoffing. doni felt mira take hold of his hand and felt that was the signal for the two of them to take their party elsewhere. before he had even gotten a chance to move properly, he felt a pressure then force pushing him forward from behind. he looked back and saw david opening his mouth to spew some sort of stupidity that doni didn’t even care to let himself hear. every ounce of rage towards david began to boil and overflow. doni had spent way to long dealing with david’s incessant s bullshit. all his shit talking and all of the shit he’d done to the people adonis cared for… with all that rage, adonis glared at david. “you’ve got to be fuc—“ without another syllable, adonis lunged forward and grabbed the front of david’s shirt, then shot his closed fist forward and too david’s face. without a second thought or moment, he shot his head forward, forcefuly connecting it to david’s. it had been a long time since doni had used his skull as a weapon in a fight so he was sure to end up with some sort of battle scar as a result – but he couldn’t find a single fuck to give as he dished out a small portion of the huge ass kicking he’d been wanting to give david harlem for a long time.

Post by FRANKLIN ANTONIO JONES on May 16, 2011 17:53:10 GMT -5
Franklin wasn’t sure how he should be feeling. Honestly, everything was happening so fast and he was having a hard time comprehending individual events. There was one hell of a brawl going on elsewhere and that was mildly distracting, although not more so than the fact that Arcadia had just kissed him. What made it all ten times more confusing was the fact that she had done it so casually- if the roles had been reversed, there would have been some pretty dramatic build up and some sweet words but she’d kissed him and then started going on about her feelings for David. And even if she hadn’t outright said so, he could tell those feelings were there by her actions just a few minutes previous. He didn’t know how he should react. A large part of him just wanted to kiss her senseless. Make her forget about all of the asshole boys she’d ever encountered and show her just how she deserved to be treated.
But he didn’t think that was right. Because he should be helping her get over it all, not trying to mask it with kissing, unless that’s what she truly wanted. He couldn’t say ‘no’ to her, but he didn’t want to do her wrong, either. So he decided not to initiate that, and to allow her to do so if she so wanted. But he could still taste her lips on his- they were soft and lovely, just like she was. He continued to hold her, thinking of what to say. The idea that Dave, of all bloody people, was ahead of the game sort of pissed him off. But Franklin didn’t like to be ‘pissed’, and he didn’t like to show such emotions, so instead he nuzzled his nose into her cheek.
”I understand, Love,” he murmured, almost defeatedly, ”He must’ve been a great guy to capture the heart of someone like you. He’s quite a lucky bastard, he really is. If I were in his position, I wouldn’t have dared to fuck it up, but… Ah, that’s not in my control, is it? I’m sure he’s still in there, somewhere. And I hope, for your sake, he comes back out, or you get over him cleanly.” He dropped his head down to press a soft kiss to her clothed shoulder, suddenly feeling the urge for another cigarette. He pulled the pack out of his back pocket and began to tap it against his leg. He forced a smile and continued. ”But I’ll be here for you, Cadi, Darling, whenever you need me. And that includes tonight. I will not leave your side until you tell me to.”

---- ”I understand, Love,” he murmured, almost defeatedly, ”He must’ve been a great guy to capture the heart of someone like you. He’s quite a lucky bastard, he really is. If I were in his position, I wouldn’t have dared to fuck it up, but… Ah, that’s not in my control, is it? I’m sure he’s still in there, somewhere. And I hope, for your sake, he comes back out, or you get over him cleanly.”He finished his words and Cadi took no time to correct him.
"Franklin, no. That's just the problem. I guess it's just that part of me that always wants to fix people...I dunno. He used to be a nicer guy, and now he's just..not the same. My "heart" is not his though. And I'd like to say that with emphasis...I OWN my heart, not anyone else. .." Cadi stopped, nodded to agree with herself and continued on. "You're an amazing person Frankie, I know you'd never hurt me, at least never on purpose and that means more to me then you'll ever know."
He dropped his head down to press a soft kiss to her clothed shoulder, his gentle touches, and sweet words always made her heart melt but there was something about him that kind of scared her..maybe the fact he was always so kind, no matter the circumstance, maybe that he always new just what to say. He almost made her feel inferior...but in the best ways possible and she never wanted him to change. He pulled a pack out of his back pocket and began to tap it against his leg. He forced a smile and continued. ”But I’ll be here for you, Cadi, Darling, whenever you need me. And that includes tonight. I will not leave your side until you tell me to
Cadi sighed. "Damnit Frankie, why are you so perfect?" She crossed her arms over her chest. "You makemy emotions extremely hard to understand, and its my own thoughts!" She glanced over her shoulder spotting Dave and Doni getting into a scuffle. "Oh my god!" She hopped to her feet and looked at the two. "ADONIS! DAVE! BOTH OF YOU STOP RIGHT NOW!" she scolded from afar. It was one of her biggest fears. After her and Doni had kind of "hooked up" it seemed Dave hated the man more, now they were scuffling about and Dave wasn't very good at holding himself under control.
The other people near them seemed to be taking care of the issue but her heart pounded beneath her breast bone in an uncomfortable manner. She had had nightmares about the two fighting before an dnow it seemed she could see it. She clenched her eyes and looked down at Frankie still seated. "Can we go..?" she asked, nibbling at her bottom lip. "We can head down by water that way, or just go sit in a car..?" she asked. . Cadi's Outfit

Dave's vision filled with white for a split second as Adonis's skull connected with the bone, teeth and cartilage he'd grown sort of fond of of. It was instinct that carried him back, staggering, breaking free of the man's hold on his shirt and throwing his fists up to guard while he got his wits about him. It wasn't the first time some angry drunk had skull-chucked him, but fucking hell, it still hurt.
He blinked and was able to see again, his senses locking in on Adonis. His mouth was warm with a familiar, coppery taste, so much that when he spat, sending a wad at Adonis's pants-leg, it spattered red.
The guitarist lunged at that point, throwing all his weight at the manager's middle, intent on putting him on the ground, where he could beat the piss out of him. It was a reckless, ape-headed style for fighting; tossing yourself with everything you had at your opponent until they stopped getting back up. He may not have been built like an ox, but his endurance and his thresh-hold for pain tended to tide him over. He would have preferred a chance to get his piercings out of his face and ears before the shit went down, but there was no time. He would take it as a bonus if they damaged Adonis's fists or head.

Oliver embraced Crimson in a hug, smile still on his face. He wasn't quite sure where June had got off to, but it didn't really matter. If she wanted to come and talk to him, then that was all well and good. But if she wanted to socialise with others, then that was fine with the curly-haired boy too. He ran a hand through his hair, and looked around at the group. A scuffle was happening not too far away from where he was standing, between two people who looked like Jayde and Mira, but he couldn't be too sure, it was difficult to see. He didn't pay too much attention though, to him, it was just unnecessary drama. He scanned the place for June, and frowned a little when he didn't see her at first. Looking again, though, he saw her, standing by the glowing fire. "I'll be back in a second." He excused himself, and approached the girl standing by the fire. He never really realised how hard it'd be if you were on your own at a gathering and had no friends. Sure, Oliver would probably make friends in a matter of minutes, but he knew that June wasn't really a social butterfly.
"Come join us." He smiled at her, offering her his hand. If she didn't want to come and talk with him and the others, then that was her choice. Oliver just wanted to let her know that if she wanted to talk to people and make some new friends, she could.

In Mira’s mind, scooping up the skateboard, launching herself in the air and bringing the weapon down on the head of David Harlem seemed easy. One liquid motion and he’d be down on the ground and all the pent up annoyance and anger for everything he’d ever done or said to anyone and not just her friends would have been released in sweet revenge. If Doni would be mad about her taking the fight in her hands, he’d get over it sooner or later. If anyone, Doni knew how much she detested Dave so there was even the possibility that he’d be happy for her. And Benji would laugh. Benji would think about all those terrible, snide remarks David had made and laugh that Mira had knocked his ass clean the fuck out using a skateboard. That’s how it played out in her mind. In reality Mira wasn’t even sure she had gotten off the ground to lunge in Dave’s direction before Benji had her securely hugged against him and taking her weapon from her.
“But,” she cried out in protest, looking at Benji like she couldn’t believe he was doing what he was… and that’s because Mira really couldn’t believe he was doing what he was doing. Wiry, yeah, but Benji had strength on him and though he wasn’t being rough with her, Mira could tell that he wasn’t letting her from his gentle yet vice like grip. All she could do was stare at him incredulously as he joked about her killing Dave with his skateboard. “Benji if it were you--” No, they were going to argue if she continued, he wasn’t letting her go and she wasn’t okay with it.
Pressing her lips together in a tight line she tried to shrug him off of her in a way that’d let him know she wasn’t going anywhere, but she didn’t want him clinging on to her. “Kick his ass, Doni,” Mira yelled when David spit on her friends jeans. “Get off, Benji,” she demanded, trying to wiggle from his grasp.
