This had to be some sort of Satan weaved nightmare.
When she first arrived on tour Kyra asked herself, almost day to day, if things could possibly get any worse. Apparently they could. Much worse. And to a degree she couldn’t have imagined on even her most morbid day. Of course, things were starting to look up when it fell to this horrible depth. And as Kyra sat outside of the Intensive Care surgery unit, she tried her hardest to find a silver lining so she didn’t completely unravel. As the moments ticked by while she sat there alone, she was finding it more and more difficult to keep it together. Her trembling hands were slowly and mechanically leading her cigarette to and from her mouth and her knee was bouncing at a rapid speed uncontrollably. It was a blessing that her body could function on it’s own, because her mind was truly somewhere else.
She and Adonis had, had plans together when he was done at the cemetery. He didn’t call, he didn’t text. He didn’t answer Kyra’s calls and he didn’t answer her texts. Being bitter from having her heart stomped on again, Kyra naturally assumed that, that was it. Maybe he got bored with her or he had gotten his couple rounds in the sack and that was enough for him. Kyra had gone through a cycle of feelings. First she was whiney and pouty, which then turned in to bitchy and then finally “over it”-- which meant she was down right pissed off. When she had talked to Evie, Evie reminded her that Adonis didn’t come across as the type. Kyra reminded Evie that if Adonis really wanted to get in touch with her, he would.
Had she any idea what was really going on…
The guilt was bad, almost enough to make her physically ill. But it couldn’t compete with her worry and fear. Adonis had been impaled and was found bleeding out and dying. What? How did that happen? What was going to happen? How was Adonis holding up? There were so many questions and the nurses were unwilling to talk to anyone who wasn’t family. It was both frustrating and Kyra didn’t do well when she was emotional and feeling helpless. So, before she ended up being drug out of there in cuffs due to assaulting a staff member, Kyra stormed out of there to have a smoke. Hopefully to calm herself down.
That was five chain smoked cigarettes ago. It was a wonder she wasn’t dehydrated, because the silent tears hadn’t stopped flowing since she got in the taxi. A few people had rushed in since then and each time Kyra thought to herself, ‘Is that them?’
Kyra saw Gavin’s car pull up and the thought of having friends and support caused a heavy feeling on her chest and a lump in her throat that let her know that there would be know stopping the cry that she had needed to get out this whole time she was alone. Soon she’d be joined by Gavin, her immediate friend from day one and Crimm, an unlikely ally, being that Crimm had been truthful with Kyra about her feelings for Adonis. They were both grown and dealt with it just fine. Crimm wasn’t scandalous enough to try to steal Adonis out from under Kyra and was fully aware that being friends with Kyra included having to deal with their relationship. Kyra was glad, Crimm was a sweet girl and one of the kind of girls you wanted during a time like this. Such as Gavin and Evie, who was on her way with her little Milo in tow.
Shakily, she stood, pulling the cigarette from her mouth and waiting as patiently as she could for some familiar faces.

The drive to the hospital had been unbearable. Crimson's chest ached and it felt as if there were a pound of sand in her stomach. The fucking guessing game; she hated it. She hated it every time she played it. Being friends with druggie musicians and daredevils, she'd played the game quite a few times.
She'd been with some skater-kids when the first text had come in. Fuck. Fuckfuckfuck. Her skin and hair was still gleaming with the sweat, her knees still showing raw through her torn jeans from the first five times she'd fallen while trying to learn. Her face had gone all pale, though, except for her lip, which she gnawed without thinking. Her knee jiggled; her eyes watched the passing landscape without focus. She knew she asked questions and that Gav answered, but her brain was on static-mode.
DonidonidoniAdonisdonidonidoni.
She was trying to keep the ideas at bay.
"Do you---" She searched for her smokes, her lighter, but forgot the pursuit before the words even got out of her mouth.
Doni had been alone when Gavin had found him. He'd been bleeding. Really, really badly. The hospital had him, but wouldn't give information. This was all she knew. To think that she might be saying goodbye to a body on a slab.
Her stomach turned over. Gavin pulled the car into park and she immediately pushed the door open, staggering out as the nausea came over her. The girl leaned her head against the car, staring at the ground through the blur of drying tears and waiting for vomit.
One-one-thousand. Two-one-thousand. Three-one-thousand. Four-one-thousand.
No heaving. She'd be able to keep it down.
Crimson stood, finger-combing her hair and dragging the back of her hand over her eyes to smear away the remaining tears. She walked beside Gaving, headed straight for the hospital steps.
The girl's eyes caught on a figure she recognized on the stairs; Kyra.
Crimson shot a glance to Gavin. "There she is," she muttered, stringing her fingers through the tour co-head's and pulling her along as she rushed up the stairs. "Kyra -- KYRA! Hey!" The girl looked fragile as fuck, standing on her own, smoking. Crimson looped one of her arms around the girl without a word. "What have you heard?"

Gavin had been a little traumatized. Her dark eyes focused on the road in front of her as she drove to the hospital, the events that had taken place before, leading up to here. Well, scared the shit out of her. She was reassured that she did all that she could, but Gavin just wondered why she couldn't of got there earlier? Shaking the thoughts out of her mind, she glanced at her hands that were tightly gripping the wheel, her knuckles turning white from the tight grip she kept. She was trying to hold it together for Crim who was sitting beside her. Gavin dealt with people in the hospital differently than others. She had been to many when her mother had cancer. The same one actually, she knew the drive by heart as she pulled into the parking lot, and parked next to a familiar car. She watched Crim jump out quickly as she opened the door, carrying papers that were available if needed.
The scene was replaying in her head though, how the hell could he impale himself on a cemetery fence. it was bent and all, but Gavin was curious. She was also incredibly worried about Adonis. He was her friend. She would always worry about her friends. She worried about Crim and Kyra. Sighing softly, she took out a cigarette, calming her nerves as she walked beside Crim. She walked up to the pink haired female. Kyra was basically one of Gavin's best friends. She, Evie and Gavin had stucked together like glue since they came. She suddenly thought to call Danny, to tell him where she was but honestly, she didn't think about it right now.
She hugged both of the girls, pulling away and wiping tears from her eyes. She hadn't noticed she was crying till then. "yeah, anything new...or no..change at all? Or are they not answering questions?" If that was the case, then Gavin would march right in there and demand answers. She knew she wouldn't get them, but it wouldn't hurt to try.

Never in Mira’s life had she created such an immediate and strong bond as she did when she met Doni on this tour. As cheesy as the question “Where have you been all my life?” was, it completely summed up how Mira felt almost every time she was reminded how amazing her luck was, when she had scored him has a friend. They had the same basic ideals and whenever something happened, Mira tended to run to Doni knowing that he’d have a similar reaction. Somehow, the universe had synced their lives up to where basically the same type of drama happened with both of them at the same time and both Mira and Doni decided to give the world the bird and retire from a social life that didn’t directly deal with the other one. After that phase was done, they had basically became the Wonder Twins. Both of them had siblings and had no problem tacking another one on. Mira, quite frankly, loved Doni. Completely platonic and unconditionally.
Regardless of the fact that her life seemed to be in complete shambles (call her dramatic if you’d like, but when your father flies down from New York to try to drag you back home because of other peoples assessment of your relationship-- its pretty bad) nothing was serious enough for not to drop and rush off to the hospital as soon as she heard Gavin’s voicemail. Mira didn’t wonder why her life was getting worse. There was no time for that. All she could focus on was Doni, hoping-- actually, praying-- that he would make it and with no real damage and all the questions that swarmed in her mind about the incident. The whole ride over, Mira didn’t say a word to James. She didn’t cry either. The girl was still in shock.
Bounding out of the car before the engine was even turned off, Mira jogged towards the stairs and met with a very unpleasant surprise. Gavin, Crimm and Kyra. She slowed to a walk, her lips tightening so that she wouldn’t outright scowl. Fine, Gavin. She was the co-head of the tour and she needed to be there. Mira had no real beef with her anyway. Maybe she didn’t care for Gavin’s group of friends, but other than that there really wasn’t anything that swayed Mira’s opinion either way. And Kyra? Apparently Doni wouldn’t heed Mira’s warning and decided that he was going to start something up with that soul sucking bitch. Whatever, not important right now.
But Crimm? Honestly. After breaking his heart and then fucking the one person on tour he detested the most? Why the fuck was she here? Crimm made it terribly clear more than once that Doni’s feelings really weren’t her concern. No, that was a lie. She kicked his heart and then tried to play the sweet, bleeding heart role to make him forgive her-- then do it again. Maybe she was here to make sure Doni lived so that she’d continue to have her whipping boy. And her friendship with Kyra? Mira wanted to roll her eyes so badly. They deserved each other.
She said nothing as she passed them on the stairs. In fact, Mira didn’t even look in their direction save to give Crimm an incredulous look letting her know that Mira had no idea why she there-- but kept walking and pushed her way through the hospitals glass doors.

Bad vibes tended to slide of Jimmy. He'd north of ten years developing this oily epidermis that repelled about 80% of the drama that got flicked at him while he was ushering his band through the tour. Hospitals were notorious for breaking that shit down, though. He didn't know a single human being who felt natural inside a hospital, apart from the staff, and even the ones on the ends of their shifts seemed pretty damn glum.
He'd heard about Adonis through the circuit that seemed wired to everyone's phones and inboxes. Word got around fast. Jeremiah had known without a phone-call where he'd be able to find Mira.
His long legs carried him like a pillar of logic through the doors of the waiting room, his dark eyes searching from creased corner to creased corner for the familiar details that made up Esme's daughter. She'd cultivated a close relationship with Adonis Rhodes within days of meeting the Firefly Metronome manager. What Jeremiah knew was that the man was in poor shape. Mira's resolve would likely be threadbare. She'd already been through enough stress between all the gossip and all things Benji-related and all the goings on between herself and her parents.
Crimson looked up from her conversations with Kyra in time to take note of Mira as she rushed by. The girl shot her a strange look in passing. Hostile? Certainly not. Now wasn't the time and Crimson couldn't think of a thing she'd gone to Mira personally to warrant her ire. Anyway, she didn't have the energy or the mindset to bother with analyzing what ever it was that might have just transpired in the split-second exchange. She returned her attention to Kyra; the girl had been here long enough; she should have known what was occurring. "What have they told you? There has to be something. How long do they expect him to be out? Is he still in surgery?"
Fuck all.
A tall man trod evenly up the same path that Mira had taken. It took a beat for Crimson to recognize James, one of the tour-leads. He watched Mira's progress to the hospital doors, through which he disappeared, and then corrected his path so that it would end where they stoon.
"Brooks," he acknowledged, looking straight to Gavin, seemed to ignore both Crimson and Kyra. "Have you heard anything yet?" His face was cool and professional, his expression giving the faint suggestion of concern. He was paid, after all, to come across professional. All the same, Crimson felt a tiny prick of 'Shouldn't you be blinking or something, asshole?' as she looked up at him. She listened, though. She didn't know anything about Adonis's family. He'd been avoiding contact with her on most frequencies so she hadn't even had the opportunity to meet them. These were not the fucking circumstances that any person should meet their friend's kin.
Fuck. All.

It didn’t take very long for Mira to realize how completely alone she was. The group of friends she had when she started this tour had dwindled dramatically. Some due to her own doing and others due to circumstances. Regardless of how she got there, she was there. The realization made her miss Doni even more. If anyone, Doni would be right there with her. Finally it hit her and she lifted her hand, wiping away her tears with the back of it. Even as solitary as she felt, Mira wouldn’t entertain the thought of going outside and mingling with the group of girls who didn’t care about Doni the way she did. They might act like they do-- but Gavin really didn’t know him at all, Kyra had known him for all of two weeks and Crimm who had known him even longer than Mira did was the shining example of actions speak louder than words.
Before she could find a corner to tuck herself in, Mira spotted a very familiar form who seemed to be searching for something himself. There was such a sensation of relief that flowed through her, that she was surprised that her legs didn’t turn to jelly right then and there. Once she was sure that he spotted her, there was no stopping the grateful smile that blossomed on her face. Jimmy didn’t know Doni. Well, he did, but he wasn’t in the friend bracket to which he’d sit in the hospital awaiting to hear progress reports. Call it self absorbed, but Mira quickly came to the conclusion that Jimmy was there for her. Without asking, without hinting, without having to do a damn thing to prompt him-- there he was.
Finally she started to make her way towards him, her arms already lifting in what would be prime clinging position. There were words coming out of her mouth, but they were illegible through the tears. It didn’t matter, they weren’t important right now. What was, was that somebody cared enough about her to take care of her whether she asked for it or not.
(note: Kyra post in the morning, promise.)

Jimmy locked eyes with Mira after about thirty seconds of fervent searching. She looked haggard already, her face pinched from crying at first and then breaking into a smile at the sight of him. Her response seemed to be one fluid motion, her arms rising to embrace him. Hell, he'd been watching her grow up for the last nineteen or so years; to see her crying and then come running for protection was every bit as stirring to his paternal instincts as it would have been to see one of his boys come skittering at him in tears.
He felt her attach herself to him at the middle. The man folded both arms around her, encapsulating the sobbing guitarist and softly muffling the sounds of her distress. "Hey -- hey, come here," he said, pulling her towards the nearest set of chairs. She was strong, Jimmy knew, but she looked and felt fragile enough to fall apart with the next slight breeze. "I heard through the grapevine." There wasn't a lot else to say. 'Are you okay?' was clearly answered by merely glancing down at her, and to say 'Everything's going to be fine,' seemed prone to coming back to bite. "I'm going to stay here with you, so don't worry."

What the hell? Adonis had been gone for way too long. Not only had she not seen him but she hadn't heard from his griping ass either. She looked around the bus and called his name quietly wondering how chewed out she was going to get for not showing up to the last "bus meeting" due to her shit-faced status at the time. But when there was no response she shrugged a bit confused. It had only been moments later when she spotted a text from none other than David Harlem and he was saying some shit about being in trouble. She texted back with speedy fingers to see if she could be of some help but when he responded he seemed more nonchalant...Nox however, was not as he came busting onto her bus. "Where the fuck is David?? is he here? he's not at his bus. Where's Rhodes's bunk? JAYDE. FUCKING SHOW ME." She quickly gathered that the two were somehow connected. Doni's disappearance and Dave's previous text...ah fuck.
Jayde grabbed her bag off the counter and followed Nox who jabbered on about how he'd have to save someones ass and how he was beating someone up and then, the last sentence struck her. "Doni is in a fucking hospital bed." "WOAH, Nox. what???" He gave her no more details just bitched and said the sentence again. Without a moments hesitation the girl fled the bus and headed to the only hospital she knew of and spotted a head of pink hair running through the doors ahead of her. Kyra...jayde was definitely in the right place. She followed the bends of the hospital but lost the pink haired woman and had to ask the receptionist where the heck Doni's room was. She was escorted by a nurse down to the waiting area where fellow tour people stood fidgeting, hugging, and all around standing in worry. That dumb bitch Mira was there...Kyra, Jimmy, Crim, and Gavin, she didn't bother making her presence known..she was just waiting to see her manager and make sure the guy was still breathing.
